What a location! Cae Llyn has its own beach, a large garden with a little footbridge sweeping down to the shoreline (the stuff childrens’ dreams are made of) and the most welcoming feel when you arrive. Oh, and a local fisherman to sell you fresh fish at your back door!
When you turn up to this beachside house you enter through the big hallway with wellies and pegs galore, just waiting for your walking and beach gear. Head through to the kitchen where you’ll find the homely red Aga, large fridge, dishwasher, microwave, toaster and all the other kitchen utensils you’ll need.
Walk into the Sun Room, which in our opinion is the epicentre of the house – great views, dining table, open fire a bright joyous area to the fore with comfy seating to enjoy the spectacular view.
On the ground floor there are two king size doubles with en suites. Head up to the first floor where there are two twin rooms with wash basins. There is a spacious family bathroom on the ground floor.
Walk along the beach and up the lane to The White Eagle for lunch, or walk along the coastal footpath to Silver Bay or up to the Rhoscolyn lookout – expect great views and scenery which ever route you choose.
When heading back from the beach there is an outside shower – perfect for rinsing wetsuits or washing sandy feet, and also a loo.
There is plenty of outside parking at this beachside house.View cottage
